Finding a Recovery Companion

Footprints of Serenity's Sober Companions work with Interventionists, Admission Specialists, Physicians, Attorneys, Families, Agents, and anyone else concerned with getting a client to and from treatment. We extend our hand to help high risk addicts and alcoholics who may be struggling with relapse, transitioning into a new sober living environment, and with everyday living.  Footprints of Serenity's Recovery Companions are familiar with the fear, and sense of being alone that arises in an individual on their way to treatment and we provide the assistance to help them with their journey.  A Sober Companion is there during the most crucial times for a recovering individual and most of the time is a key component towards a successful recovery.

Rehabs and residential treatment centers have give alcoholicss and drug addicts a beginning into recovery.  A standard 30-day primary care treatment program may be sufficient for certain individuals entering the recovery process; however, research shows statistically that clients who participate in an extended-care program have a higher success rate.  Footprints of Serenity's Sober Companions work with individuals of all ages from all over the world. The traps and triggers that can set a relapse into motion (when an addict/alcoholic returns home from a rehabilitation facility) are dangerous and should be confronted and dealt with.

Sober companions are much more than a glorified babysitter. A sober companion gets into the trenches to help clients get involved with the recovery services available in their own backyards, while also incorporating fun (young people have a hard time staying sober without finding new fun activities to keep them motivated).  Footprints of Serenity requires Companions to be in recovery themselves and have years of sobriety and be experienced/certified recovery workers.
