Many addicts and alcoholics think, what am I going to do now that I am sober? There cannot possibly be anything fun to do in sobriety. Well, this is only a matter of prospective, and the newly sober person may say, that without a police chase or taking risks that may lead to death, hurting themselves or loved ones around them, there is no fun. It is the definition of fun that changes with long-term sobriety. Footprints of Serenity's Recovery Companionship program shows newly sober individuals how to change their prospective on "fun," and with lengthened sobriety, enriching new activities for the individual become "fun" and create a new joy in their lives.
